If you are pregnant or have recently had a baby, you may have noticed a significant change in your, em, how do we put this, boobie area.  In all likelihood your breasts have grown, in some cases much larger than they were!  It is important that your shape wear and bras accommodate your new body and shape.

Maternity Bras are important especially if you are breastfeeding;  There are numerous bras but you may want to choose one that makes it easy to have access to your milk machines.  There are even special nursing bras that allow for a pump to be attached.

Make sure you get the right bra, it will help you feel better and make use of your time!

Being pregnant often times conjures up much anxiety for mom's and dad's to be!  The thought of being responsible for a new life, is daunting!  However, rest assured that your pre-baby jitters are absolutely normal.

Most parents are overly cautious, almost terrified of their new born tot.  But this fear is usually gone baby brother or sister comes along.  Often times, baby 2 is much more self-sufficient, almost quicker than your first born simply because their parents are a bit more lax, allowing them to explore the world with less caution.

Maternity time, is a time for reflection, but remember, all parents make mistakes!  There is no such thing as a perfect parent, so remember that you are going to make mistakes, and be forgiving.  Your baby will love you for simply being their mom or dad!  That is the most important thing.

So relax, and enjoy being pregnant!  Remember to stress less, and look good! :)

According to BabyCenter.com, here are some signs of Postpartum Anxiety/Blues:

What is postpartum depression?

Postpartum depression can begin any time during the first two months after you give birth. Symptoms may include:

  • Irritability or hypersensitivity
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Anxiety and worry
  • Crying or tearfulness
  • Anger
  • Negative feelings such as sadness, hopelessness, helplessness, or guilt
  • Loss of interest in activities you usually enjoy
  • Difficulty sleeping (especially returning to sleep)
  • Fatigue or exhaustion
  • Changes in appetite or eating habits
  • Headaches, stomachaches, muscle or backaches
Postpartum Depression is something to take seriously.  There are many changes that occur after a new baby arrives that can feel overwhelming.  Your life completely changes, and you have a new life to take care of.  But it is important that you try to understand your feelings, and access them.  Here are some things that may be helpful in dealing with you anxiety:

  • Take some time for yourself - whether it is a bath, or just some time alone you will need to get used to having a new baby to take care of, but you must take care of yourself as well
  • Talk to a health care professional - if you feel that your postpartum depression is unbearable, you may need to talk to someone;  There is no shame in doing so, remember this is a common occurrence.
  • Ask for help.  Your baby's father is there to help you through the transition but he can not read your mind, ask him to help.
  • Do not neglect yourself - Looking good on the outside may sound superficial but it makes a difference to how you are feeling on the inside.  Be sure to try and encourage yourself to look your best at all times!
